I first became interested in Behavioural Economics during my year at Imperial College Business School when I got to study nudge theory and Thaler’s work as applied to healthcare.
As I got entrenched in the world's of tech and lifestyle medicine I realised that behaviour underpins everything we do and dived into the literature on decision science, on how we can form healthy habits and how modern technology such as social consumer apps utilise our reward systems to get us hooked.
Being on Clubhouse I have been able to interact with many great health and tech minds situated in the Bay Area as well as have in depth discussions on how we can use tech to optimise health. The pivotal feature in these conversations have been are consumer adoption and methodology to enable behaviour change through UX/UI design and neuromarketing.
Other interesting topics have revolved around mental health with Tim Ferriss, investing with Zach Coelius and in depth discussion on the new Amazon Halo (new feature being emotion/mood sensing through voice) with Jeremiah Owyang.
‘New ideas in psychology, cognitive science, behavioural economics, law, and medicine take a new look at risk, decision-making, and other aspects of human judgment and how and why we buy, act and really think and behave and these are now reaching the mainstream.’
This has led me to start the Human Behaviour Club and Human Behaviour Show 7 pm ET to discuss a wide range of topics with my co-hosts-
